Our Beginnings
The Cape Cod Anti-Litter Coalition (CCALC) began in 2014 when a handful of Cape Cod citizens grew increasingly concerned about the amount of litter accumulating on our roads, along our walking and biking paths, and in our waterways.
Formally incorporated in February 2016, CCALC is a 501 (c) (3) charitable organization developed with the purpose of educating Cape Cod children, adults and businesses about the environmental and economic impact of littering. Funds raised by CCALC will be used for a variety of educational purposes. We strive to see the day when there is a litter-free Cape Cod.
Today
CCALC stresses the need to engage citizens to be part of the solution, emphasizing the importance of personal responsibility in the reduction of litter in our community. Stopping old litter habits is about starting new positive behaviors.
